Almost True is a collection of shorter stories in the series of the same name. Harvest Girl is a stand-alone novella in the same series. As with Harvest Girl the book will be published on Kindle and possibly made available as an audio book.

The stories include some from mis-remembered or just made up elements of my life with a huge dose of artistic license thrown in. Real names have been changed. As the the books intended dedication says:

The legal copyright notice requires a statement along the lines of…
‘All characters appearing in this work are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.’

Actually, there are several based on real people, but there is a huge part of artistic licence applied. All the names have been changed to protect the innocent, misjudged, misidentified, or just made-up. Characters have been merged. Scenes have been extended and merged. New stories have been created from seemingly thin air. Not AI!

Thus, this work is fiction; most of it is, so only some of this happened. ‘All the right parts, just not necessarily in the right order,’ to misquote Eric Morecambe.

If anyone from my past is offended, upset, or wants legal redress, only you and I know what really happened. It was a very long time ago. If you do want legal action, good luck. Are you personally identifiable? Has the defamation, if there is one, actually caused harm? Are you denying these things happened completely or partly, or do you just not like them being mentioned?
