Some of the 100s of photos from our recent Peru Tour. I have separated into galleries showing the main areas we visited.

Hard To Find
Some animals in the Amazon were very hard to find and see. Illusive surfacing pink dolphins. (Best shot), in particular didn’t jump and make it easy surfacing for a couple of seconds sometimes the other side of the boat!

Sloths in heavy camouflage see the two in a tree

And those frogs took a group effort to find

Lima, Peru
A couple of days in Lima
Machu Pichu, Sacred Valley and Cusco, Peru
A few very busy days covering:
Machu Picchu
The new wonder of the world at Machu Picchu via the panoramic Vista train from Ollantaytambo and Machu Picchu
The Sacred Valley
Exhausting day touring the sacred valley covering multiple stops, llamas, crafts, and archaeological sites at Cachimayo, Moray, and Ollantaytambo.
Cusco
Some more days in Cusco before a flight back to Lima and then staright out to the Amazon.
Amazon, Peru
A glorious few days in the Amazon staying at the Helconia Lodge after a flight to and night in Iquitos and a river trip down the tributary before joining the main Amazon. Stopping at Monkey island and with multiple river trips catching glimpses of pink dolphins and piranha feeding (Fishing failed).

Peru Conclusion
A very busy, too busy at times, tour with lots to see but also too much time spent in buses, planes, and waiting for the same. Early morning starts and late hotel arrivals. Altitude does hurt too. Maybe not sick but climbing steps in Machu Picchu was still hard. Our Cuzco days not helped by me suffering from a combined altitude and food upset.
We declined the optional Rainbow mountain tour (thankfully) 17,000+ feet. Just over 13,000 was enough. BTW Ben Nevis is 4,400 as a comparison.
If you were thinking of the same tour we booked the tour via Secret Escapes and Exotica.
Other tours we have done include, Borneo, Costa Rica and Sri Lanka. More photos in the links
